Jiu-jitsu blue belt test will be held this Saturday Sept 23rd, 2017 at 12pm. If your name is on the list, please be certain to arrive early with your GI and mentally ready to go! Testing to the next level is a challenging but very rewarding time in your jiu-jitsu journey. After completing all the required class hours on the mat, skill sets and rondori training you are ready to advance! Best of luck to all participants and we are always proud of our dedicated students!
The Martial Arts Zone is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and make you feel welcome in the academy. Even without any experience they teach at a pace that best works for you. Chris and Susan really care about their students and treat them like family. I have nothing but good things to say about this team, it’s very fun and you get the exercise you need. I would definitely recommend this academy to anyone who wants to get involved in the jiu-jitsu MMA and kickboxing field! I’ve only been attending the classes for about a month and already feel part of their family. I’m excited to continue my journey with people beside me that truly care about me and want to watch me succeed!
There is a great community in place here at the Martial Arts Zone. Beyond what is implied from the business name, our instructors are always helping us grow in mind, body, and spirit. From developing skills, improving technique, & even building character - they’ve got it all covered. And not without a healthy dose of humor! The facility is kept very clean and professional. Large space with lots of square footage. The location was close to home for me but I know quite a few people who travel some ways to attend class here. I’m lucky to have found such a spot!
This academy has been great for me and my two young boys. They’re learning confidence, discipline, and new skills in a positive and friendly setting. Since I’ve started training myself, jiu jitsu has become a family activity that I hope we practice for a long time together. I’m grateful to Chris and his crew for sharing their expertise and being so welcoming to our family.
